Valley View Senior Life provides a COVID-19 update

Posted Dec 14, 2020 7:30 PM

Valley View Senior Life has been fortunate to have zero COVID-19 cases for well over nine months since the pandemic has affected the entire country and our community.

This has been possible, in large part by our dedicated front-line essential employees working diligently, around the clock initiating mandated KDHE, CDC, KDADS and Medicare’s

Infection Control procedures and protocol. Just weeks ago, Valley View Senior Life had their Kansas State Infection Control inspection and received 100% compliance!

Despite all our compliant practices, we now have contracted COVID-19 in our campus that has affected our residents and staff. We believe in keeping the community informed of our progress in containing the virus in the next few weeks.

Fortunately, vaccines will be arriving in mere days, and we anxiously await Valley View’s allotment to help stem the tide of this virus.

We want to thank the community for your support. Geary County Hospital, Director of Geary County Health Department, Tammy Von Busch, Director of Geary County Emergency Services, Garry Berges, and our Medical Director, Dr. Mace, have been invaluable during this time.

We are awaiting final test results on residents and staff and will keep the community informed on our testing and results in the next few days.
