BOURBON COUNTY—A Kansas man died in an accident just after 7:30a.m. Saturday in Bourbon County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Ira Parnell Toshavik, 48, Gardner, was southbound on U.S. 69 just north of S National Road.
The driver failed to negotiate a right hand curve. The motorcycle traveled left of center and struck the front of a northbound 1998 Ford passenger vehicle driven by Kitty Nadine Fowler, 38, Fort Scott.
EMS transported Toshavik to Ascension Via Christi-Fort Scott where he died.
Fowler refused EMS transport. Her father transported her to the hospital for treatment. Toshavik was wearing a helmet, according to the KHP.
