Sheriff: Kan. couple jailed for alleged drug possession after traffic stop

 JACKSON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating two  suspects on drug charges after a traffic stop.

On Dec. 21, a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a 2019 Ford Escape near 126th and U.S. Highway 75 for a traffic infraction, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

Deputies arrested Richard Michael Lane, 40, of Topeka and booked him into the Jackson County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and making false information.

Jennifer Leigh Crabill, 36, of Holton, was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges that include possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.  She was also wanted on outstanding Jackson County warrants, according to Morse.
