KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement authorities investigating homicide in Kansas City have identified the victim as 59-year-old Nancy Stinnett.

Just after 10pm Tuesday, police were dispatched to the area of 32nd and Agnes in Kansas on the sound of gunshots. While officers were on the way the call was upgraded to a shooting call at a house in the 3000 block of E 32nd street, according to Captain Jake Becchina.

On arrival officers were directed inside a residence there where they located Stinnett with gunshot wounds and she was unresponsive.

EMS declared her deceased at the scene.  Preliminary investigation indicates that Stinnett was inside when shots came into the house from the outside and struck her, according to Becchina.

Police have not release any suspect details or reported an arrest.
