JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a gunfight that sent a Kansas man to the hospital.
Just after 6:30p.m. Tuesday, a shooting that occurred in the 9000 Block of J Road, Silver Lake, was reported to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.
A man who resides at the residence stated that a neighbor came to the address and the two men fired guns at each other. The neighbor was injured.
EMS transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries, according to Morse. Deputies and detectives processed the scene. Authorities have not reported an arrest.
