
SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas felon on new charges after an arrest.
Just after 1 p.m. Wednesday, officers received a call for service for a robbery in the 1500 Block of Mulvane in Topeka by a known suspect, according to Police Captain Jerry Monasmith.
On arrival, officers observed the suspect a few blocks away, and he was taken into custody without incident. Once stopped, the suspect was found to have methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia in his possession. As a result 40-year-old Justin Ware from Topeka, was transported to the Shawnee County Department Of Corrections and is being held on requested charges of Aggravated Robbery, Possession of methamphetamine, Possession of drug paraphernalia and Felony obstruction.
He was on parole after convictions for robbery, aggravated battery, criminal threat, criminal damage to property and flee or attempt to elude police, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
