Kan. man accused of trafficking contraband into jail

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects on multiple charges following a weekend traffic stop.

Just after 9 p.m. Jan. 31, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Suburban in the 1200 block of NE Quincy Street, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.

During the investigation, deputies located narcotics and drug paraphernalia. They arrested  Robert E. Adams, 56, of Topeka on requested drug related charges including possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking contraband into a correctional facility.

They also arrested Dawn M. Miller, 47, of Topeka on requested charges possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, interference with law enforcement, revoked driver’s license, habitual violator, no registration and no tag light.
