Former Kan. choir director accused of sex crimes with student

JOHNSON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities in Olathe are investigating a Kansas teacher on child sex allegations.

Micah Horton, 35, the former Choir Director at Olathe North High School has been charged with sexual exploitation of a child and unlawful sexual relations, according to the Johnson County District Attorney's office.  He made his first court appearance in the case Wednesday.

He is being held on a $500,000 bond and is due back in court March 21, according to the district attorney's office.
