SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating an incident reported to Shawnee County Park Police on August 15 at the Warren Nature Trails near Felker Park, according to Police Lt. Donna Eubanks.
It was alleged that an individual assaulted another individual, and the victim was transported by American Medical Response (AMR) to a local hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result of this investigation, on Wednesday police arrested 30-year-old Jose J. Arteaga of Topeka and booked him into the Shawnee County Department of corrections on requested charges of Rape Aggravated criminal sodomy and Aggravated battery
