An initial agreement between the United States and Iran to extend the ceasefire is moving toward a formal signing despite questions over the fate of Tehran's nuclear program.

On his social media account, Kansas U.S. Senator Roger Marshall issued a statment on the deal. Marshall wrote, " I just spoke with Vice President Vance. This deal is a win for America. The Strait is open, over 4 million barrels of oil are moving per day, and gas prices are already falling. Iran will not get a nuclear weapon. President Trump proved once again why he’s the master negotiator."

There are plans to sign the agreement Friday in Switzerland.
