SALINE COUNTY —A pole barn and some of its contents were destroyed by fire Saturday morning northwest of Salina.

Just after 9a.m. Saturday, a 45-year-old woman looked out a window and saw smoke coming from her pole barn in the 4600 block of W. Shipton Road, according to Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan.

Personnel from Rural Fire District No. 7 responded and extinguished the blaze.

No definitive cause of the fire had been determined. Soldan said the barn had utilities.
