KHP IDs Kansas teen who died after car struck metal fence

MONTGOMERY COUNTY —A Kansas teen died from injuries in a accident that occurred just after 8:30a.m. Sunday in Montgomery County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Chevy Impala driven by 16-year-old Kendall, Mackenzie Marie Dezyrae Kendall of Coffeyville was southbound in the 2000 Block of Country Road 4300.

The car crossed the center line and the driver overcorrected. The car then traveled off the road to the west struck a metal fence and came to rest in a field.

EMS transported Kendall to a hospital in Tulsa where she died. Two passengers identified as 18-year-old Jacob Palmer and 21-year-old Christian Jovani Rodrigue-Rodriguez of Coffeyville were not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
