WYANDOTTE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating a body was found in Wyandotte County Lake on Monday have identified the victim as 22-year-old Dejon Akins of Kansas City, Kansas, according to Police Captain Michael Kroening.
Just after 2 p.m. Monday, deputies responded to the lake after receiving a call about the body.
First responders recovered the body but have not released details on a cause of death. An autopsy is scheduled, according to Kroening.
