SEDGWICK COUNTY — A Kansas man convicted of aggravated sexual battery; intentional touching is charged with failure to register as required by the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act, according to the United State's Attorney.

Jorge Aaron Valdez-Torres, 27, Wichita, is alleged to have committed the crime from May 2018 to July 2020 in Sedgwick County.  The Kansas Department of Corrections issued a warrant for his arrest in August.

If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000. The U.S. Marshals Service investigated.
