FINNEY COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a southwest Kansas man on multiple allegations after a traffic stop.
Just before midnight August 3, police observed a vehicle traveling westbound on Railroad Avenue approaching the city limits of Holcomb at a high rate of speed, according to a media release from Holcomb Police.
Using radar, officers determined that the vehicle was traveling 105mph in a posted 65mph zone in the 5000 block of Railroad Avenue.
With the assistance and cooperation of the Finney County Sheriff's Office, the vehicle was safely stopped by Holcomb Police officers. During the traffic stop, officers observed the driver throw an item from the vehicle. The item was later recovered and identified as suspected marijuana.
The driver, identified as Aaron Garcia-Gonzalez, 22, Holcomb, was taken into custody without incident.Garcia-Gonzalez was arrested and booked into jail on requested charges of Speeding (105 mph in a 65 mph zone), Failing to have a required ignition interlock device installed, Interference with a law enforcement officer and Unlawful possession of THC and Marijuana
