Sheriff: Kan. man jailed after he threatened family, deputies

SHAWNEE COUNTY– Law enforcement authorities are investigating a domestic disturbance and have a suspect in custody on requested federal charges.

Just before 6 a.m. Tuesday, the Shawnee County Emergency Communications Center received multiple 911 calls about a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of SE Croco Road in Topeka, according to Deputy Abigail Christian. 

A 21-year-old man later identified as 21-year-old Dylan R. Wymore of Topeka was allegedly under the influence and threatening to kill family members, burn the house down and kill any law enforcement officers who responded.

Deputies arrived on scene, spoke with witnesses and took Wymore into custody.

He was booked into the Shawnee County Department on multiple requested counts of battery on a law enforcement officer, assault of a law enforcement officer, endangering a child, aggravated criminal threat, domestic battery, battery, criminal damage and interference with law enforcement, according to Christian.
