
ATCHISON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas felon on new drug allegations after an arrest.
On February 2, police began an investigation that began as a theft case at Casey’s General Store in the 1600 block Main in Atchison, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.
On Wednesday, police arrested Kenneth H. Gulley III, 29, Atchison, in the 500 block Park on a Community Corrections detain order, a District Court warrant for failure to appear in court, and a District Court warrant for possession of fentanyl, possession of alprazolam, possession of drug paraphernalia, and theft.
In March, police arrested Gulley on a District Court warrant for computer crime, criminal use of financial card, and theft.
The theft of the financial card involved a 69-year-old victim in January, according to Wilson. Gulley has previous convictions for theft, burglary, Interference with Law Enforcement by destroying evidence and for drugs, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
