RENO COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a shooting and have made an arrest.
Just after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, police were dispatched to 623 East Avenue F in Hutchinson in reference to a shooting, according to a media release.
When officers arrived, they located 37-year-old Bryan Stallworth with a single gunshot wound to his chest. Stallworth was later transferred to a Wichita area hospital in stable condition.
The investigation revealed that the shooting occurred at 620 East Avenue F and was the result of an altercation between Stallworth and an acquaintance identified as 31-year-old Levi Wickliffe.
Wickliffe fled the scene. Police located him several blocks away, arrested him and booked him into the Reno County Jail on requested charges of attempted 2nd degree intentional murder.
