FORD COUNTY —Two horses died in an accident early Monday in Ford County.
Just before 2a.m. Monday, crews were dispatched to an accident involving a car and horses on highway 50 just west of Dodge City, according to Ford County Fire and EMS.
First responders treated the occupants of the vehicle for very minor injuries. The car struck 3 horses. Two of the horses died and the third one was injured.
Authorities did not have details on treatment of the horse that survived.
