Police: Kansas man accused of selling marijuana

BARTON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansa man for alleged drug distribution.

Just after 11:30 p.m. Thursday, police conducted a traffic stop at 18th and Jackson in Great Bend on a 2004 Dodge Ram pickup for a traffic violation.

During the stop, the officer could smell an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and over 100 grams of Marijuana were located, along with drug paraphernalia.

The driver of the vehicle, Brodie Bretz, age 29, was arrested and transported to the Barton County Jail where he was booked in lieu of a $50,000 bond on requested charges of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. Police impounded the vehicle.
