On Monday, the Wichita Police Department and the U.S. Marshals held a&nbsp; press conference to share details on a multi-agency warrant initiative.

• 4% reduction in Part 1 violent crimes compared to the 5-year average.

• 17% reduction in all Part 1 crimes compared to the 5-year average. Those crimes include murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft, and arson.

• The clearance rates is up compared to 2025 year-to-date, with the non-fatal shooting clearance rate at 63%.
