Junction City scored 35 points to finish 10th out of 20 teams in a Class 6A Substate Wrestling Tournament in Wichita Friday. Two Lady Jay wrestlers will advance to the Class 6A State Tournament.
Laila Lesher of Junction City finished third in the 109 pound weight class while Brooke Swango finished fourth at 138 pounds. The top four wrestlers in each weight class advance to state.
Also in the substate tournament for JCHS, Charly Goodwin finished sixth at 115 pounds.
Dodge City won the team title with 135 points.
