RENO COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas felon on new charges after a high-speed chase through Reno and McPherson counties.

Justin Walker, 31, of Basehor fled from authorities after being stopped at 108th and K-61 Highway, according to the Reno County Sheriff's Department.

Walker fled from the stop into McPherson County at speeds of over 100 miles per hour.

McPherson police officers attempted to stop the Walker's vehicle by using stop sticks to deflate the tires just outside the McPherson city limits.

Walker eventually drove through a dead end where the vehicle became stuck in a field. He was captured without incident after a short foot chase and booked into the Reno County Correctional Facility on requested charges of felony flee and elude, possession of stolen property, criminal possession of a firearm, along with drug possession and drug distribution.
