Blue Jays get late touchdown to defeat Seaman

Junction City used a 29-yard pass play from Andrew Khoury to Marcello Bussey to rally from behind in the fourth quarter to earn a 31-24 victory over the Seaman Vikings. After the touchdown the Blue Jays scored on a two point conversion run by DJ Giddens.

Seaman got the ball for one final drive and worked down to the Junction City 25-yard line before Blue Jay safety Javon George intercepted a pass to sew up the victory.

Junction City ( 2-1 ) led in the first half 29-7 but Seaman( 2-1 )  used a strong ground game and quick outlet passes to 21 unanswered points and take a 27-26 lead with just under four minutes to play in the game.

The Blue Jays  got 146 yards rushing and three touchdowns from Giddens, while Khoury hit 14 of 26 passes for 195 yards and a touchdown. Bussey got six passes for 113 yards and one TD.

Junction City will play at Washburn Rural next Friday.
