SHAWNEE COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas woman on multiple charges after a traffic stop.
Just after 10p.m. May 9, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville in the 4500 block of SE 45th Street in Topeka, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.
During the stop and investigation deputies found illegal narcotics and arrested the driver identified as 63-year-old Ladora S. Benaka of Topeka.
Benaka was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, transporting an open container of liquor and improper driving on a laned roadway.
