Kansas man accused in the theft of a semi

JACKSON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities  investigating the theft of a semi have made an arrest.

In April, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office learned of the theft of a 1989 Peterbilt semi-tractor from the 11000 block of 310th Road, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

On April 10th, the Jackson County Undersheriff as well as several callers observed the stolen semi in north Topeka.  Deputies recovered the Peterbilt at that time.

Just after 6:30 a.m. June 5, deputies made a traffic stop near 150th and U .S. Highway 75 that involved the suspect in the case, Zane Robert McHenry, 35, of Topeka

Deputies arrested McHenry on a felony no bond Jackson County District Court warrant on a requested charge for burglary, felony theft and criminal damage to property. McHenry was booked into the Jackson County Jail.
