Deputies find meth in Kansas woman's SUV

JACKSON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on drug charges after a traffic stop.

Just before 2:30a.m. Monday, a Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2003 GMC Yukon for a traffic infraction near 118th and US Highwy 75, according to sheriff Tim Morse.

The traffic investigation resulted in the arrest of Amber Dawn Gillaspie, 31, of Topeka. Gillaspie was booked into the Jackson County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
