Kan. man dies after being ejected when pickup rolls

ROOKS COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 7p.m. Thursday in Rooks County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Chevy Silverado driven by Alec Hrabe, 57, Stockton, was eastbound on K Terrace, one mile west of U.S. 183, one mile south of Stockton.

The driver lost control on a curve. The pickup entered the north ditch, hit a washout, slid sideways, rolled onto its side and ejected the driver.

Hrabe was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
