BROWN COUNTY—One person died in an accident just before 8:30p.m. Friday in Brown County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2019 Dodge Journey driven by Azaria M. Richery, 24, Stockton, Kansas, was southbound on U.S. 73 just north of County Road 220.
The front seat passenger Kylee E Dixon, 33, Horton, intentionally opened the front passenger side door and leaped out while the vehicle was in motion.
Dixon was pronounced dead at the scene and he was transported to Chapel Oaks Funeral Home. Richery was properly restrained and not injured, according to the KHP.
