WICHITA, Kan. - A 63-year-old Wichita man died Sunday evening in a single-vehicle rollover crash near 24th Street North and 143rd Street East.
At approximately 5:33 p.m., Wichita Police officers responded to a report of a rollover crash in the area of 24th Street North and 143rd Street East, according to a media release.
When officers arrived, they located a gold Ford SUV overturned in a ditch along the roadway. Wichita Fire Department personnel extricated the driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was identified as Gregory Curry, 63, of Wichita.
The preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle left the roadway, entered the ditch and rolled before coming to rest. The accident remains. under investigation.
