SHAWNEE COUNTY —A Kansas man died in an accident just after 10:30a.m. Wednesday in Shawnee County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Freightliner semi driven by Fredy O. Zelaya-Bustamante, 48, Bustamante, Topeka, was southbound on Interstate 470 near Indiana Avenue.

A pedestrian identified as Brandon Lummus, 24, Topeka, darted out in front of the semi. The semi struck him.&nbsp;&nbsp;Lummus was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to First Call.&nbsp; &nbsp;

Zelaya-Bustamante was properly restrained and not injured, according to the KHP.
