LEAVENWORTH—A man died over the weekend in the federal prison in Leavenworth.
Just after 7 p.m. Saturday, prison officials found 28-year-old Denix Heredia-Chang unresponsive at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Leavenworth, Kansas, according to a statement from the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
Responding employees initiated life-saving measures. Emergency medical services (EMS) were requested while life-saving efforts continued. EMS pronounced him deceased.
