GREENWOOD COUNTY—The Kansas Highway Patrol has identified the victim of a fatal accident that occurred just after 10p.m. August 4, in Greenwood County as 44-year-old Jasmine Degrado of Green Bay, Wisconsin, according to Trooper Brett Goins.
Degrado was driving a stolen 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee westbound on U.S. 54 twenty miles east of U.S. 77. The Jeep crossed the center line and struck an eastbound semi hauling cattle.
Degrado was. pronounced dead at the scene. The semi driver escaped. All the cattle died or had to be put down, according to Goins.
The accident remains under investigation and authorities are waiting for results of an autopsy.

The patrol reported a vehicle was westbound on U.S 54 twenty miles east of U.S. 77. It crossed the center line and struck an eastbound semi head-on.
Due to the circumstances, authorities have been unable to identify the female victim from out of state, according to Trooper Brett Goins. Authorities are waiting for the result of a DNA test to confirm her identification. The driver of the other vehicle was able to escape.
