DOUGLAS COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 4p.m. Thursday in Douglas County.
According to Lawrence Police, a 2008 Harley Davidson driven by a 50-year-old man collided with the roundabout at Lake Pointe Drive and Clinton Parkway.
EMS transported the man to a Topeka trauma center where he was pronounced deceased. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to Lawrence Police.
This is the second fatal motorcycle crash at that intersection this summer. The Lawrence Police Accident Investigations Unit is investigating the crash. Police did not release the name of the victim.
