A high wind warning has been issued for Dickinson, Geary and Morris counties Including the cities of Abilene, Herington, Junction City, and Council Grove until 6 p.m. Friday.
For the high wind warning, northwest winds 25 to 35 mph
with gusts of 50 to 60 mph can occur. For the wind advisory there can be 20 to 30 MPH
with gusts of 40 to 50 MPH.
* ..Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
