Kayleen Kastor, 31 years old, passed away on April 13, 2024, at Stormont Vail Medical Center in Topeka, Kansas.

Kayleen was born March 27, 1993 to Kandido and Merly Kastor in Kolonia, Pohnpei. Kayleen enjoyed dancing, singing, and fishing. Kayleen graduated from The Pohnpei State High School.

She is survived by her parents Kandida and Merly Kastor and her siblings kandido, kathleen,kaylord, kirlieen.

She will be shipped back to her home in Kolonia, Pohnpei for burial. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

Marcia L. Williams, 65, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away on April 26, 2024, in her home.

 A family led celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Marcia was born on March 1, 1959, to Gene and Clara (Judge) Conklin in Bath, Maine. Growing up in a military family, she spent most of her childhood traveling with her family all around the United States. Some of the places she would call home are Maine, California, New Jersey, Alaska, and Maryland. Once her father retired, she and her family moved back to Nebraska where she graduated from Gering High School in 1977.Following high school, she attended college at the University of Northern Colorado then transferred to Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, finishing a bachelor degree. After graduating, she worked as a social worker helping to place children in loving homes. After ten years of working, she decided to go back to school to pursue a masters. She graduated from the University of Washington with a masters in social work in the year 2007.

Marcia is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Richard Williams; one daughter, Nicole (Adam) Gore of Junction City, Kansas; one sister, Debra Lautenslager; one brother, Philip Conklin and four grandchildren: Magnolia, Olivia, Dean, and Samuel. She is preceded by her parents; two brothers, Steven and Michael, and a nephew, Nicholas.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Russell Dewuain Sams, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle &amp; friend, passed away at the age of 62.

 He was born in Council Grove, Kansas on November 19, 1961, and passed away peacefully on April 29, 2024.Russ had a passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, often taking to the open road to explore the countryside he cherished. His love for nature was matched only by his commitment to serving his community as a member of the Fire and EMS departments. A man of deep faith, Russ studied the Bible daily and maintained a close walk with God. He wished for his loved ones to share in that spiritual relationship and find love in the Lord.

Away from his public service, Russ found joy in working with his hands, and in the company of his beloved dogs and family. He was a devoted family man, always putting his loved ones first. His trademarks were “Love ya’s” and reminding them, "Always remember the road home."

A Celebration of Life for Russ will be held on July 6, 2024 at 10:30 am, at the Skiddy Cemetery in Skiddy Kansas. In honor of his love for nature and in consideration of the family's needs, the family requests that in lieu of cut flowers, those wishing to express their sympathy make a donation towards medical expenses. Larry Gene Spradling, age 64, of Manhattan, passed away on Wednesday April 24, 2024 with is family beside him.

He was born on March 14, 1960 in Rockwood, Tennessee, the son of Terrell and Nila (Harvey) Spradling. He graduated from Rockwood High School with the class of 1978. Larry served 8 years in the U.S. Army following high school.

Larry worked at the McCall Pattern Company for over 25 years until the plant closed. At the present time he was working at USD 383 in the Maintenance Department.

On September 27, 1993 in Manhattan, he was untied in marriage to Tamara Kay Worthington. This union was blessed with two daughters, Kimberly and Amanda.

He had many interests in life. He was a huge NASCAR fan, where Dale Earnhardt Sr. was his favorite driver. Larry enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to hunt with his friend Paul. They put many miles on their trucks trying to find “that” deer.

One of his favorite things outdoors was the pride and joy he had in his camper and dually truck. He loved to camp. He was a great cook and loved to smoke meat of any kind. He was the king of building fires for his camping buddies. But what brought him the most happiness over the last five years was taking his granddaughter Ava camping. Ava was very interested in camping with her papa, she wanted to pick up sticks for papa’s bonfires. That was Larry’s “Miss Mae”.

He was preceded in death by his father Terrell, his sister Sonya, his grandparents, and also his father-in-law Roy Worthington.

Larry is survived by his wife Tamara, daughters Kimberly and Amanda Spradling, his granddaughter Ava, all of Manhattan; his mother Nila Spradling, his sister Theresa Vance (Carl), and his brother Richard Spradling, all of Rockwood, Tennessee; his mother-in-law Delores Worthington, and brothers-in-law Craig and Corey, and also his many other relatives and friends.

Sally A. Wright, 77, of Clay Center, Kansas, died on Monday, April 29, 2024 at the Clay County Medical Center. &nbsp;She was born on January 8, 1947 in Van Nuys, California, the daughter of Max and Margaret (Morden) Souers. &nbsp;

Sally grew up in southern California. &nbsp;She married Ronald Wright on June 15, 1962 and the couple lived in various locations due to Ronald’s military service. &nbsp;Ronald preceded her in death on February 26, 2018. &nbsp;Sally moved to Clay Center with her son and daughter in-law in October of 2019. She is also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carol Wase; great grandchild, Atticus and 2 sisters, Sandy Tucker and Sue Kangas.

Sally is survived by her son, John and wife, Michelle Wright of Clay Center, Kansas; daughter, Sheri McCormick of Redmond, Oregon; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and lifelong friends, Naomi and Billy Patton of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Eula Jean Weisner, age 93 of Manhattan, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the Good Shepherd Hospice House.

She was born on November 5, 1930, in Leonardville, the daughter of John J. and Freda Victoria (Hanson) Arents.

On August 12, 1950, she married George Kenneth Weisner at her parents’ home. &nbsp;He preceded her in death in 2019.

Jean was a Registered Nurse at Asbury Hospital in Salina, Fort Riley Hospital and completed her nursing career at Pediatric Associates in Manhattan. &nbsp;She attended Westview Community Church and Sedalia Community Church. &nbsp; She enjoyed playing cards at the Manhattan Senior Center, watching football and baseball with her son and in her earlier years, going to the lake and camping, boating, and skiing. &nbsp;George and her loved traveling and spent several winters in Florida.

She is survived by one son, Kevin Weisner of Manhattan; two daughters, Debra Holle of Manhattan and Christine Miller and husband Mason of Manhattan; seven grandchildren, Dustin Holle, Lance Holle (Jennifer), Aaron Holle (Tabatha), Amanda Brubeck (Chris), Chip Miller, Wendy Allison (Tobey) and Scott Miller; sixteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was born on August 3, 1945, at Marion, Ohio. &nbsp;She is the daughter of Ralph and Inez (Hardesty) Augenstine. &nbsp; She married Douglas Green on February 5, 1966, at Maron, Ohio. &nbsp;

Survivors include their two sons: Kenneth (Maria) Green of Waterville and Kelly Green of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, a brother, Dan Augenstine of Marion, Ohio and one grandchild. &nbsp;She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Betty Enke and Becky Boswell.

A private inurnment will be held at a future date. &nbsp;The Christie-Anderes Funeral Home in Waterville are handling the arrangements.

Douglas (Doug) Duane Londene, at the age of 71 of Chapman, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 due to a tragic farm accident.

Doug was born October 1st, 1952 to Duane and Lola (Carpenter) Londene of Chapman, Kansas.He attended Woodbine grade school and graduated from Chapman High School in 1970.In his younger years, Doug enjoyed playing baseball and was a 4-H member of the Woodbine Jolly Jayhawkers. His career was working for BNSF railroad for 36 years achieving the job as Road Master. He retired in 2014 and dedicated his days to full-time farming until his death.Doug will be remembered for many things but, especially his laughter, his tight bear hugs and the joy of conversation.

Survivors include his wife, Birgitte, two daughters, Amy (Kevin) Wade, Angela Londene, one son, Ryan (Danielle) Londene and one step-son Michael Mager. Other survivors include one sister, Diane Londene, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild and two step grandchildren,two nieces, two nephews, one great niece and three great nephews, two great-great nieces, and one great-great nephew. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Cindy Jo Wilson.

Homer Gene Smith, age 62, of Manhattan, died April 26, 2024, at the Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan.

He was born June 20, 1961, in Manhattan, the son of William L. “Billy” and Margarete (Ruhmann) Smith.

He worked for the City of Manhattan in the Forestry Department for 17 years, worked construction in Alaska for 6 months prior to returning to Manhattan and worked for BHS Construction for 23 years as their Shop Foreman.

Homer enjoyed riding dune buggies, wood working, was in a bowling league for many years and participated in Nationals in Reno, NV, working with his hands and helping others. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.

On May 24, 1991, in Manhattan, he was married to Debrah Chapman. Debrah survives of the home. Additional survivors include four children: Jesse Ray Smith of Hutchinson, KS, Amy Haselhorst (Nate) of Wamego, Kristy Stadler (Nate Severson) of St. George, and Joseph Stadler of Scottsdale, AZ; seven grandchildren: Jasmine, Logan, Hadley, Alyssa, Sophia, Emlyn and Maverik; six siblings: Monica Houston (Billy) of Hutchinson, George Smith of Manhattan, John Smith (Connie) of Manhattan, Terry Smith (Debbie) of Manhattan, Rosalie Lyttle (Jon) of Marshall, IL, and Denis Smith of Manhattan; and a large and loving extended family.

Homer was preceded in death by his parents, one brother William, and one niece Amanda Mesa.

Cremation is planned with memorial services to be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 8th, in the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Chapel with Chuck Asbury officiating.

Janett had a strong work ethic. She took pride with her work and worked long and hard hours with all of her jobs. Janett enjoyed cooking and was known for her culinary skills. Her family was important to her. She enjoyed teaching good manners to her children, nephews and nieces. Decorating for the holidays and tending to her yard work was done with pride and precision.

Hazel Irene (Olson) Patterson was born July 30, 1932 on a farm northwest of Dwight, Kansas. She was one of four children born to Alfred and Emma Olson. Hazel passed away on April 26, 2024, at Chapman Valley Manor at the age of 91.

Hazel attended Antelope country school and graduated from Dwight Rural High School in 1950. After graduation, she lived and worked in Wichita, KS before marrying John E (Ed) Patterson on April 4, 1951. They lived and farmed south of Alta Vista before moving to the Edgerton area and then to Hillsdale where they farmed until 1962 when they moved back to the Dwight area.

In addition to raising six children, Hazel loved to cook, sew, and spent hours enjoying watching or listening to Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs, K-State Wildcats and KU Jayhawks football and basketball games. Hazel found great joy in quilting, embroidery and other handwork. She made and donated many lap robes to nursing homes and her quilts were lovingly given to her children, grandchildren and friends over the years.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband Ed, her son Larry and son Steve. She is survived by her daughters DeeAnn Mayer (Ken), Cheryl Patterson, Carolyn Scott and son Darrell Patterson (Kerry), eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren along with nieces, nephews and special friends.

Private graveside services will take place at Dwight Cemetery. Memorial gifts in her memory may be made to the Dwight United Methodist Church.&nbsp;&nbsp;

&nbsp;Sally A. Spooner, 74, of White City, Kansas, passed away on April 26, 2024, at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan.

 Cremation has taken place and a family led memorial service will take place at First United Methodist Church, Saturday, 204 W MacKenzie St, White City, KS 66872, on May 4, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.

Sally was born on April 12, 1950, to Jesse and Barbara (Pike) Vose at Bennington, Vermont. Sally was married on June 8, 1968, to George Victor Spooner. Shortly after marrying George, she graduated from Dover High, Dover, New Hampshire. Being a military spouse, she traveled all over the states and also spent some time in Germany with her family. She found her forever home once her husband retired from the military in White City, Kansas. Her family will always have fond memories in their home.Sally loved reading, crocheting, knitting, gardening, and of course spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her one daughter, Dawn (John) Laizure; one son, Patrick Spooner; one sister, Barbara Graham; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends. Sally is preceded by her loving mother and father; her ex-husband, George Victor Spooner; her life partner, Bobby Williams; one sister, Monica Vose; two brothers, Ralph Vose and William Vose and two grandchildren.

&nbsp;Sylvia J. “Shub” Nelson, 72, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away on April 24, 2024, at Stormont Vail- Flint Hills Campus, surrounded by her loving family.

Sylvia was born on June 19, 1951, to Harold and Lillie (Curtis) Holland in Aragon, Georgia. In late 1951, Sylvia and her family moved to Junction City, Kansas. Sylvia attended grade school, junior high and graduated from Junction City High School in 1970. After graduation, Sylvia married the love of her life, Danny, on January 29, 1971, the couple had three boys. In 1970, Sylvia began working for the Geary County Attorney where she worked until 1974. From 1974-1976, she worked for the probate judge. Sylvia began her career with United Telephone Company beginning in 1976 through 1994.

Sylvia decided to leave her career to care for her family from 1994 to 1999. She then went back into the workforce at PayPhone Concepts as an accounting clerk from 1999 to 2007. After her work in communications, she transitioned to Geary Community Hospital in the Maintenance Department as the department administrative assistant from 2009 to 2013.

Sylvia loved her family. She enjoyed her time taking care of her loving husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her favorite hobbies included spoiling her grandbabies, reading books, and studying her bible.Her goal in life was to live according to God’s word and be His obedient servant.

Sylvia is survived by her husband, Danny; one son, Christopher (Rhianna) Nelson, their two daughters, Charleigh and Rylee of Manhattan, Kansas. Granddaughter, Marcella (Stephen) Hearn, their two sons Aaron and Micah of San Antonio, Texas. Three sisters; Janice (Alan) Moore of Junction City, Kansas, Terry (Marcus) Hammond of Manhattan, Kansas, and Karen (Ronald) Doyle of Junction City, Kansas; a host of other loving family members and friends.

She is preceded by her mother and father, two sons, Daniel and Joseph Nelson; one grandson, Joseph Nelson; three brothers, Homer, Jerry, Harold Holland; and one sister, Wanda Mathis.

She was an over protective sister to her siblings and was known as a "Daddy's Girl". She enjoyed raising her four sons and was known for her out going spirit and personality.

Jayson was born October 29, 1971, in Junction City, Kansas the son of James W. and Barbara L. (Lesher) Cynova. Jayson graduated from Junction City High School with the class of 1990. After high school graduation, he attended UTI in Phoenix, Arizona and studied automotive technology. He worked at Bud's Wrecker Service, a family owned and operated business. Jayson was very mechanically inclined and was known to make his own tools. He worked long hours taking care of many strangers and customers that were stranded. He enjoyed motorcycles, woodworking, engine repair, coaching baseball, coaching YMCA sports, Nascar and any form of car racing, wrestling, fishing and anything outdoors.

On September 7, 1991 he married Donna Joy Adams. They were later divorced. He later married Monica Jane Nicholson. They were later divorced.

Survivors include five sons, Ben (Megan), Alex, Nick (Tyra), Nate (Shy) and Jacob; two daughters, Madison and Samantha; four grandchildren, Noah, Jeremiah, Lilah and Everly; father and mother, James and Barbara Cynova, all of Junction City, Kansas.

Jayson Wayne Cynova

Diane Long, age 89, of Manhattan, passed away April 27, 2024 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan.

Diane Lee Saunders Long was born during the sweltering summer of 1934 on August 2 on the Plaza in Kansas City. The endless heat of that summer may explain some of the dry wit and stubbornness she was known for.

She was the only child of John William Saunders and Violet Mary Dunn who were high school sweethearts and had roots in Oregon. While her dad’s grocery job led them to St. Joe and then Manhattan, they instilled a love for family in their daughter. They often hosted friends and family and went on trips to see them back west.

Diane worked for the City Dairy in Manhattan as an ice cream scooper and it is here where she met her husband-to-be, William Long, whose family owned the dairy where he worked on the milk routes. She went to Kansas State University for a year where she was in Tri-Delta and majored in journalism.

After she and Bill married in a simple ceremony with a cake and punch reception, they began building their life together. They brought four children home into their two-bedroom house: John William Long, Linda Kay Hall, Scott Chester Long, and Mary Susan van Swaay. Summers were spent on national guard drill camps and camping alongside others. The kids spent time exploring nature while Diane kept everyone together and fed (except for that one time one kid was left at a grocery store and had to be returned for) and Bill didn’t miss a single historical marker.

Eventually, they settled in on Church Avenue where they had coordinated Christmas lights and school pick up schedules with the neighbors when it rained. Diane was known for her ability to talk for ages with people on the phone, sit, sip coffee and chat with friends, and feed everyone who walked through her door.

She spent time running a daycare, taking care of her kids while attending their events, allowing her children to collect a menagerie of animals, and dealing with every car her husband and sons brought home that didn’t quite work. She was a poodle lover and adored having one on her lap. Tragically and much to her dismay, her husband brought home a much larger dog than her beloved poodles from the shelter. That Christmas, Grandma got ran over by a sheepdog that had got excited over a vacuum and ran over her and she got a new hip. Her stubbornness had allowed it to freeze, so really the dog was just helping her out. Eventually, the dog wormed his way deeply into her heart.

Her children married and she gained much beloved children in laws - Deborah Long, James Hall, and Jouke van Swaay.

They blessed her with nine grandchildren who she made sure she always had homemade applesauce from the backyard tree on hand for, that they never left her house hungry, and when they bickered with their siblings, reminded them of how she longed for a brother or sister. Those grandchildren were obviously the light of her life and their accomplishments both personal and professional are ones she could often be heard sharing. They continue to provide her with grandchildren in laws and numerous great grandchildren.

Diane was always fascinated with genealogy. She volunteered with the genealogy society, was dedicated to figuring out what connection could be proved to become a member of the DAR, leaving flowers on every family and family friends’ grave for Memorial Day, and loved connecting different places she saw or heard people were from to her family’s history. She and Bill spent numerous years heavily involved in Post 17 of the American Legion and as members of a Hunt Club. Together they helped care for and love the older generation of their family as they aged. While she loved K-State, she could never watch the game if it was tight because it made her too nervous.

She loved a medium rare steak, ice cream, coffee, fruit on cottage cheese, a good hot dog and never met a family dog she couldn’t make her best friend through feeding table food. She despised vegetables, arthritis, and the color orange. Her wit was dry, her kitchen seemed to magically produce never ending food to nourish and comfort her family, and she is deeply cherished by those who know her.

Her and her family are extremely grateful to the wonderful humans that helped care for Diane in the end at Meadowlark Home Health, Bramlage House, and Good Shepherd Hospice House.

 </figure>Diane Long, age 89, of Manhattan, passed away April 27, 2024 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan.Diane Lee Saunders Long was born during the sweltering summer of 1934 on August 2 on the Plaza in Kansas City. The endless heat of that summer may explain some of the dry wit and stubbornness she was known for.She was the only child of John William Saunders and Violet Mary Dunn who were high school sweethearts and had roots in Oregon. While her dad’s grocery job led them to St. Joe and then Manhattan, they instilled a love for family in their daughter. They often hosted friends and family and went on trips to see them back west.Diane worked for the City Dairy in Manhattan as an ice cream scooper and it is here where she met her husband-to-be, William Long, whose family owned the dairy where he worked on the milk routes. She went to Kansas State University for a year where she was in Tri-Delta and majored in journalism.After she and Bill married in a simple ceremony with a cake and punch reception, they began building their life together. They brought four children home into their two-bedroom house: John William Long, Linda Kay Hall, Scott Chester Long, and Mary Susan van Swaay. Summers were spent on national guard drill camps and camping alongside others. The kids spent time exploring nature while Diane kept everyone together and fed (except for that one time one kid was left at a grocery store and had to be returned for) and Bill didn’t miss a single historical marker.Eventually, they settled in on Church Avenue where they had coordinated Christmas lights and school pick up schedules with the neighbors when it rained. Diane was known for her ability to talk for ages with people on the phone, sit, sip coffee and chat with friends, and feed everyone who walked through her door.She spent time running a daycare, taking care of her kids while attending their events, allowing her children to collect a menagerie of animals, and dealing with every car her husband and sons brought home that didn’t quite work. She was a poodle lover and adored having one on her lap. Tragically and much to her dismay, her husband brought home a much larger dog than her beloved poodles from the shelter. That Christmas, Grandma got ran over by a sheepdog that had got excited over a vacuum and ran over her and she got a new hip. Her stubbornness had allowed it to freeze, so really the dog was just helping her out. Eventually, the dog wormed his way deeply into her heart.Her children married and she gained much beloved children in laws - Deborah Long, James Hall, and Jouke van Swaay.They blessed her with nine grandchildren who she made sure she always had homemade applesauce from the backyard tree on hand for, that they never left her house hungry, and when they bickered with their siblings, reminded them of how she longed for a brother or sister. Those grandchildren were obviously the light of her life and their accomplishments both personal and professional are ones she could often be heard sharing. They continue to provide her with grandchildren in laws and numerous great grandchildren.Diane was always fascinated with genealogy. She volunteered with the genealogy society, was dedicated to figuring out what connection could be proved to become a member of the DAR, leaving flowers on every family and family friends’ grave for Memorial Day, and loved connecting different places she saw or heard people were from to her family’s history. She and Bill spent numerous years heavily involved in Post 17 of the American Legion and as members of a Hunt Club. Together they helped care for and love the older generation of their family as they aged. While she loved K-State, she could never watch the game if it was tight because it made her too nervous.She loved a medium rare steak, ice cream, coffee, fruit on cottage cheese, a good hot dog and never met a family dog she couldn’t make her best friend through feeding table food. She despised vegetables, arthritis, and the color orange. Her wit was dry, her kitchen seemed to magically produce never ending food to nourish and comfort her family, and she is deeply cherished by those who know her.Her and her family are extremely grateful to the wonderful humans that helped care for Diane in the end at Meadowlark Home Health, Bramlage House, and Good Shepherd Hospice House.Graveside Services for Diane will be held at 11:00a.m. Wednesday May 1, 2024 at the Sunrise Cemetery in Manhattan. Diane Long

Clara Ellen Bach, age 84, of Manhattan KS died on April 25th, 2024 at Meadowlark Hills Nursing Home while two of her daughters were praying the rosary to guide her home.

She was born August 12th, 1939 in Haviland KS, the oldest child of Gilbert &amp; Leona “May” (Rose) Yohn. Clara graduated from Greensburg High School in 1957. She attended Kansas State University where she studied nuclear engineering until she met her late husband Lawrence Leon Bach. They married October 3rd, 1959 and had 57 happy years until his death in 2016. She lived most of her adult life in Blue Rapids, KS until 2002 when she moved to Flush, KS and then to Manhattan, KS in 2016.

Clara was an integral part in making the Bach Farm in Blue Rapids KS successful. She was a dedicated mother, attending every school event of her children without fail. She could often be found plowing the fields, cutting alfalfa, going to the market to purchase and sell farm animals, growing a Victory Garden, and sewing clothing or quilts. She enjoyed reading the newspaper daily and loved to read books through the end of her life. She was also an avid member of her church organizations, the Red Hat Club, and volunteered at the Blue Rapids Public Library. Later in life, she enjoyed many years snow birding in Arizona and was a founding member of the Oregon Trail Sams Camping Club.

Survivors includer her six children; Michael Bach of Tampa, Florida, John Bach and wife Beth of Wichita, Kansas, Philip Bach and his wife Kenda of Archie, Missouri, Anastasia Blundell and her husband Troy of Powderly, Texas, Monica Smithwick and her husband Tim of Manhattan, Kansas, Cathryn Bach of Germantown, Maryland; two sisters, Geraldine Benesky of Walsenburg, Colorado and Pauline Conard of Larned, Kansas; her brother, Gail Yohn and his wife Barbera of Hutchinson, Kansas; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence, an infant child, and her parents.

Cremation is planned. Family and friends are invited to pray the Rosary at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 10th, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at Flush. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 10th, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with inurnment to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Kelli Ann Ireton, age 44, of Manhattan, passed away April 24, 2024 in Manhattan.

Kelli was born on April 4, 1980 in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Dale A. and Barbara (Smith) Rivett. Kelli and her family moved to Manhattan in 1985. She attended schools in Manhattan, and graduated from Manhattan High School with the class of 1998. After graduation she attended Kansas State University, she earned her Bachelors Degree in Phycology. She later earned her Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education and a Master’s Degree in Mathematics.

Kelli worked for USD 475 in Junction City, she was not only a math teacher to students but also was an instructor to other teacher's on how to teach math. Kelli also ran the AVID Program at Junction City over her 12 years. She later worked for USD 383 in Manhattan for 3 years. Kelli was an outstanding Math instructor and took pride in mentoring young adults over the years. She loved family, friends, photography and cooking.

She was united in marriage to Daniel Ireton. They were blessed with three children, Alex, Gauge, and Madeline. Kelli and Daniel later divorced.

Kelli is survived by her children Alex Ireton (Taylor), Gauge Ireton, and Madeline Ireton, and also her precious granddaughter Karson Ireton.

The family will greet friends during a visitation on Tuesday May 7, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home in Manhattan.

Celebration of Life Service will follow the visitation at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday May 7, 2024 at the funeral home. Private interment will be held at the Sunrise Cemetery in Manhattan.

Kelli Ann Ireton

Ida Johanna (Kauer) Roberts, passed away on April 23, 2024, at Wellsprings of Westmoreland.

She was born April 9,1931 in Spearville, Kansas to Theodore and Anna (Diehl) Bosman. However, shortly thereafter, her mother passed away from complications and she was adopted by Anna’s sister Ida (Diehl) and husband Andrew Kauer and moved with them to Ogden, Kansas where she grew up.

While working as a telephone supervisor, at Ft Riley, she met and married Milton T Roberts (Pete). Pete and Ida had four children: Dianna, Debra, Deidre and Milton Jr (Tom). They had been married for 53 years.

Ida loved traveling. This was made possible by Pete’s time in the Army. They moved from Ft Riley to Colorado, France, California, Washington State, Germany and then back to Ft Riley where Pete eventually retired.

In Ida’s spare time she loved to knit Afghans. She would give them as presents to family and friends.

Ida was also a wonderful cook and baker. Her mother worked as a cook for a K-State fraternity and prior to transferring to France she was called on to help her out. The boys loved her meatloaf more than her mother’s and they asked her to stay and cook for them.

Ida felt one of her greatest accomplishments was graduating from Kansas State University while she was in her sixties.

Ida was preceded in death by her husband Milton T Roberts (Pete), her father and mother Andrew &amp; Ida Kauer and Theodore and Anna Bosman, her three sisters, Rita Kauer, Monica Hornung and EllaRose Jones. She is survived by her sister Alice Bucher, daughter Dianna Sorenson, daughter Debra Roberts, daughter Deidre Back and son Milton (Tom).

Ida and Milton (Pete) have 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 30th, at the St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Ogden with Deacon Ed Souza officiating. A Celebration of Ida’s life will be held in May.

Alexandera Annetta Espinosa Cain, age 53, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024, Topeka, Kansas. She was born on July 14, 1970, to Tennyson B. Smith, Sr. and Connie (Trice) Smith, Gary, Indiana.

Alexandera was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving from 1988 to 1996. She then went on to marry her husband, Edward Cain, in 2007, Manhattan, Kansas.

Survivors include her children, Deron (Amber) Freeman, Florida, Milon Espinosa, Virginia, Desiree Cain and her fiancé, Cameron Palmer, Kansas, Edward Cain III, Kansas; her mother, Connie; brothers, William (Sheila) Smith, Desmond L. (Natasha) Trice, Tennyson B. (Meka) Smith II; sisters, Teesa M (Christopher) Stewart, Tinna B. Smith; two grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward; and her father, Tennyson, Sr.

A Graveside service with military honors will be held at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery at Fort Riley at 11: 00 a.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2024, with her brother, Pastor Tennyson Smith II presiding.

Rita May Rumford McCorkle

Terrale William Johnson, 29, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024 in Lenexa, KS. He is proceeded in death by his father Brian Keith Johnson and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Terrale was born on June 29, 1994 to Brian and Regina Johnson in Tulsa, Oklahoma, He was a bundle of joy from birth and that joy carried on through his adult years. In 1997 the family moved to Manhattan, KS where he grew up. He has always been out going and his personality could light up a room. He was the youngest of the three Johnson Boys. The brothers bond grew stronger over the years and could not be broken.

Terrale gave his life to the Lord at an early age and was baptized on October 19, 2003. He was very active in the church. He started out as a Sunbeam and on to the Youth Department. He sang with the youth choir, participated in the youth plays, and programs. He attended youth conventions and youth camps. He had an interest in playing the drums, well his dad had an interest for him to play the drums, so that’s what he did and he learned to love it.

Terrale was a true athlete, he could play any sport. In his early years he played flag football, soccer, baseball, basketball, and even tried wrestling. He knew at an early age that football was the sport that he wanted to pursue and that was his passion. He began playing tackle football in the 3rd grade on a fourth grade team. That team wasn’t too good but that didn’t matter to Terrale, he just wanted to know did you see that tackle I made.

After graduating from Manhattan High in 2012, he attended Hutchinson Community College, where he received a full ride football scholarship. After completing his Associates Degree at Hutchinson Community College he transferred to Kansas State University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Social Science in 2016.

While at Kansas State University he played three years as an offensive lineman. During his tenure the team played in two bowl games. He earned First Team All Big 12 honors from the AP and 2016 Second Team All-Big 12 from ESPN. He also played Semi Professional Arena Football for the Albuquerque Raiders and Omaha Beef.

After his football playing career ended, he didn’t stray far away from football. He began working as a Para-Educator while coaching (offensive Line coach) at Mill Valley High in the Kansas City area. While coaching at Mill Valley the team won 2 State Championships. From Mill Valley he accepted a position as a coach and resource teacher at Shawnee Mission South (“South side”). He was pursuing his education to further his career as a teacher.

Terrale embraced his position as a coach. He built relationships with each of his players. He not only saw his position as a coach but as an opportunity to mentor young men helping them to develop as they prepared for adulthood. He did what he could to encourage and motivate any student that he came in contact with. He supported the students in every sporting event whether he was their primary coach or not. He genuinely cared for people and he loved the students that were around him.

Terrale was a young man of integrity and character he stood for right. He was respectful and full of life. He loved his family and enjoyed nothing more than playing with his nieces and nephews. He was a big man but he had a bigger personality. He was the type of person that you couldn’t stay upset with, under all of his toughness he was a teddy bear. He had a confidence that was unwavering. You couldn’t find a person that was more loyal. He had a big heart; he just wanted his family and friends to win. He made an impact on everyone that he came in contact with. His smile and big personality was contagious.

 </figure>Terrale William Johnson, 29, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024 in Lenexa, KS. He is proceeded in death by his father Brian Keith Johnson and his paternal and maternal grandparents.Terrale was born on June 29, 1994 to Brian and Regina Johnson in Tulsa, Oklahoma, He was a bundle of joy from birth and that joy carried on through his adult years. In 1997 the family moved to Manhattan, KS where he grew up. He has always been out going and his personality could light up a room. He was the youngest of the three Johnson Boys. The brothers bond grew stronger over the years and could not be broken.Terrale gave his life to the Lord at an early age and was baptized on October 19, 2003. He was very active in the church. He started out as a Sunbeam and on to the Youth Department. He sang with the youth choir, participated in the youth plays, and programs. He attended youth conventions and youth camps. He had an interest in playing the drums, well his dad had an interest for him to play the drums, so that’s what he did and he learned to love it.Terrale was a true athlete, he could play any sport. In his early years he played flag football, soccer, baseball, basketball, and even tried wrestling. He knew at an early age that football was the sport that he wanted to pursue and that was his passion. He began playing tackle football in the 3rd grade on a fourth grade team. That team wasn’t too good but that didn’t matter to Terrale, he just wanted to know did you see that tackle I made.After graduating from Manhattan High in 2012, he attended Hutchinson Community College, where he received a full ride football scholarship. After completing his Associates Degree at Hutchinson Community College he transferred to Kansas State University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Social Science in 2016.While at Kansas State University he played three years as an offensive lineman. During his tenure the team played in two bowl games. He earned First Team All Big 12 honors from the AP and 2016 Second Team All-Big 12 from ESPN. He also played Semi Professional Arena Football for the Albuquerque Raiders and Omaha Beef.After his football playing career ended, he didn’t stray far away from football. He began working as a Para-Educator while coaching (offensive Line coach) at Mill Valley High in the Kansas City area. While coaching at Mill Valley the team won 2 State Championships. From Mill Valley he accepted a position as a coach and resource teacher at Shawnee Mission South (“South side”). He was pursuing his education to further his career as a teacher.Terrale embraced his position as a coach. He built relationships with each of his players. He not only saw his position as a coach but as an opportunity to mentor young men helping them to develop as they prepared for adulthood. He did what he could to encourage and motivate any student that he came in contact with. He supported the students in every sporting event whether he was their primary coach or not. He genuinely cared for people and he loved the students that were around him.Terrale was a young man of integrity and character he stood for right. He was respectful and full of life. He loved his family and enjoyed nothing more than playing with his nieces and nephews. He was a big man but he had a bigger personality. He was the type of person that you couldn’t stay upset with, under all of his toughness he was a teddy bear. He had a confidence that was unwavering. You couldn’t find a person that was more loyal. He had a big heart; he just wanted his family and friends to win. He made an impact on everyone that he came in contact with. Terrale William Johnson

Kurylynn Michelle “Kury” Comer, 30, of Wamego, Kansas, passed away on Monday (April 22, 2024) in Wamego.

Born March 13, 1994 in Pueblo, Colorado, Kury was the daughter of Kay Lane and Tracy Reifschneider. For the last 11 years, Kury shared her life with her husband, Brad Riniker who survives at the home.

Kury was a 2012 graduate of Wamego High School. &nbsp;She loved the outdoors, fishing, mushroom hunting, &nbsp;camping, and her trips to Colorado to visit her grandparents cabin. &nbsp;She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed listening to a variety of music.

Kury’s family was most important to her and she loved being a stay at home mom. Surviving is her husband, Brad; her children, Tessa Riniker, Jace Riniker and Gavin Pierce; her mother, Kay Gardner (Jeff) of Salina, KS; her father, Tracy Reifschneider (Kennetha) of Louisville, KS; her siblings, Darby Comer (Anna) of Mayetta, KS and William Reifschneider of &nbsp;Miami, FL; a nephew, Jack Comer; Gavin’s adoptive parents, Jeffrey Pierce and Bonnie Bluhm; Maternal Grandparents, Terry and Patti Lane of Pueblo West, CO; Paternal Grandparents, Dale and Theresa Reifschneider of Inglewood, FL; Aunts &amp; Uncles, David Lane (Cyndi), Meranda Reifschneider and Henry Reifschneider (Alisha); her father in law, Ray Riniker of Belvue, KS; her mother in law, Penny Riniker (Rob) of Alma; cousins, Jessica Eck (Chris) and Jaimie Garnett; and many friends, including very close friends, Michelle Hoffman, Katlyn Dawson &amp; Ashley Derenne.

Kury was preceded in death by her Maternal Great Grandparents, Glynn &amp; Maurine Lane; and Paternal Great Grandmother, Ida Benton.

Memorial services will be held Monday&nbsp; (May 6, 2024) at 11:00 a.m. at Cross Point Church in Wamego with Pastor Jol Klein officiating.

A memorial visitation will be Sunday (May 5, 2024) from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Campanella &amp; Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego.
