 was a Harley Davidson enthusiast, loved cooking, and enjoyed being

Ronald L. "Ron" Massey, 69, of Junction City, Kansas passed away on 
Monday, April 3, 2023, at Stormont-Vail Healthcare in Topeka, Kansas. 
Cremation will take place. A celebration of life will be announced at a 
later date. Ron was born July 28, 1953, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Frederick Eugene and Delores Marie (Covington) Massey. Ron
 attended schools in Topeka, Kansas. He worked for Union Pacific 
Railroad until his retirement. While working for the railroad, he was 
known as "Moose." He was a member of the Elks Lodge #1037 in Junction 
City, Kansas. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and traveling. On April 3, 2004, he married Carol Bugai in Las Vegas, Nevada. Survivors
 include his wife Carol of Junction City, Kansas; one son, David Massey 
and his wife Lacy of Scranton, Kansas; four daughters, Misty, Jamie, 
Dusty and Tina; three sisters, Debbie, Jeri and Linda; many 
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gwyn Ellen Johnson died Saturday, April 1, 2023, in her home. She was 
born Gwyn Ellen Hendricks on January 26, 1941, in Fort Smith, Arkansas,&nbsp; to parents Gwendolyn Randall Hendricks and John Paul Hendricks. The 
oldest of five Hendricks children, she grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas,&nbsp; and attended Catholic schooling, including Saint Scholastica, Immaculate
 Conception and Saint Anne’s Academy. 
After graduating, she attended Webster University in St. Louis, 
Missouri, followed by Dental Hygiene school at the University of Kansas 
City Missouri. It was there that she met and married her husband, 
Michael Johnson, and they enjoyed 60 years of marriage that was rooted 
in love, faith, family, and community. 
Gwyn and Mike moved to Abilene, Kansas, in 1962 where they worked 
together at Mike’s dental practice. From the moment Gwyn came to 
Abilene, she embraced everything it had to offer and began to establish 
community through friends and involvement at St. Andrews Church. She 
embraced the beauty of the Kansas prairie and inspired so many to do the
 same, leading hikes and tours, teaching others to appreciate Kansas 
native grasses and wildflowers. Later, she became an instrumental part 
of the Dickinson County Historical Society, the Arts Council of 
Dickinson County and a founding member of the Great Plains Theater, and 
founding member of the Community Foundation of Dickinson County. In 
March of 2023, she received the Women of Excellence award for her 
passion and dedication to her community. 
Gwyn is survived by son Tim (Jennifer), daughters Katy, Betsy (Hardy) 
and Emily (Jason), as well as eight grandchildren and one great 
grandchild and her sister Betsy Walters. She is preceded in death by her
 husband Michael Johnson, brother Randall Hendricks, son Robert (Bob) 
Johnson, grandson Ellis Johnson, sisters MaryLynn Lawler, Sally 
Marovich, as well as brother Tim Hendricks. 
Parish Rosary will be recited at 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 10th, 2023, at
 St. Andrews Catholic Church with Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 A.M.

Paul Allen Belford, 55, of Wamego, Kansas, left with
 his fishing pole and bait cooler to his final fishing trip on Friday, 
March 31, 2023. He was a longtime resident of the community.

Paul was born on August 28, 1967, in Wichita, Kansas, the son of 
Dale and Judy (Wagner) Belford. He attended many schools as he traveled 
with his father who was in the Army and graduated from High School in 
Augusta, Kansas. He received an associate degree in Specialized 
Technology for Electronics and Computers and served in the United States
 Air Force.

Paul loved tinkering with computers and enjoyed playing video 
games, but his passion was fishing and spending time with his family. Paul
 married Nicol Leann Farr on October 23, 1999. She survives at their 
home. along with their three sons, Seth Robert Belford, Ryan Allen 
Belford, and Kole Henry Belford.

Paul is also survived by his mother, Judy Humble; his in-laws, 
Robert and Sharon Kelsey; and his sister siblings, Angela Glosenger. He 
was preceded in death by his father, and his brother Robert Belford, and
 his father-in-law Robert Farr Sr.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 3:00 pm until 
5:00 pm, Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Campanella and Stewart Funeral Home 
in Wamego. There will be a Time of Remembrance and military honors at 
4:00 pm. 

The family suggests memorial contributions to The Paul Belford 
Children’s Education Fund, and those may be sent in care of the

graduated from Riley Co. High School in 1966. On Oct. 11, 1991, she was 
joined in marriage with Ernest R. White in Manhattan and he survives.  
She was employed as the Animal Shelter/ACO supervisor at the T. Russell 
Reitz Animal Shelter in Manhattan from 1990-2012. Prior to that she 
worked at a pet shop in Aggieville.

of Gladstone, MO; and a sister Karla Baker, of Holton, Kansas

Lorena Lee Wilcox, age 66 of Blue Rapids, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023, at the Frankfort Community Care Home.

 was born on November 23, 1956, in Marysville, the daughter of Robert Guy
 and Garnet Sharleen (Singleton) Wilcox.&nbsp; She graduated from Valley 
Heights High School.

She married Rankin Swearingen and they later divorced.

Lorena
 was a nurse’s aide at the Blue Valley Nursing Home for many years and 
also waitressed for a while at some local restaurants.&nbsp; She enjoyed 
gardening, canning, cooking, baking, watching old western movies, going 
to casinos and later online casinos.&nbsp; Most of all, she loved spending 
time with her grandchildren.

She
 is survived by two daughters, Amber Swearingen of Blue Rapids and 
Jackie Swearingen of Wymore, Nebraska; one son, Shane Shanek of Belvue; 
four brothers, Bryon Wilcox, Bob (Cathy) Wilcox, Jon (Deb Long) Wilcox 
and Randy Wilcox; two sisters, Vickie (Scott Mahan) Morgan and Rene 
(Ken) Smith; seven grandchildren, Zoe, Rylee, Ashlynne, Blaise, Skylar, 
Ryker and Maverick; her step-father, Tim Davis and numerous nieces and 
nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, William “Bill” Wilcox.

Sarah Sue English, 70, died peacefully Friday March 31, 2023, at home surrounded by family.

Sarah was born Oct. 15, 1952, in Kansas City, KS to Rita H. English 
and William J. English and graduated from Shawnee Mission West High 
School, 1970.&nbsp; She earned a BS in Landscape Architecture from the 
University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK.&nbsp; She subsequently obtained an MS 
degree in Environmental City Planning from Kansas State University, 
Manhattan, KS.

Sarah was a veteran serving her country in the US Coast Guard from 
March 1975 to December 1979 as a Telephone Technician (E5).&nbsp; She was in 
the second class of women to be enlisted into the US Coast Guard.&nbsp; She 
was stationed in New York City, NY, New Orleans, LA, and Little Rock, 
AR.

Sarah married Brett Bodily on Sept 1, 1988, in Manhattan, KS. During
 their marriage, she worked with her husband as a project manager at 
their industrial painting company executing large scale projects. &nbsp;Her 
husband preceded her in death in 2006.&nbsp; Sarah is also preceded in death 
by her parents and a sister, Paula L. Ewing. After her husband’s death 
she worked as a Project Analyst for the State of Texas Facilities 
Commission, Austin, TX.

Survivors include brothers, John English (Linda English) Shawnee, KS,
 J. Ted English, Stillwell, KS, sisters Veronica English (Doran Ward), 
Helena, MT, Cecilia (Chuck) Miller, Purdy, MO, Rita Bassett, Dickson, 
TN, M. Bernadette (Alan) Anglyn, Edgerton, KS and Jessie M. English, 
Cambridge, MA, and 29 nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Sarah lived in Austin, Texas from 2007-2019 where she worked as a 
Transformational Life Coach and was an integral member of the Austin 
metaphysical community.&nbsp; She continued this work when she moved to Taos,
 NM in 2019.&nbsp; With this community she worked on her life-mission to help
 people be true to themselves.&nbsp; Sarah was passionate about nature and 
animals, particularly her well-loved dogs.&nbsp; In her last years, she lived 
in Taos, NM (2019-2022) where she enjoyed and shared photographs of the 
stunning Taos sunrises and sunsets. Sarah’s vivacious wit, charm, and 
laughter will be especially missed by her family and friends.

She was born on August 11, 1942, in Lindsay, OK the daughter of Tommy

after graduating from high school. She married Robert Ludowese on April 
28, 1962.&nbsp; Virginia worked as a stocker and cashier for Wal-Mart for

Kansas, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023, at Ascension Via Christi 
Hospital in Manhattan. 

A visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. - 
7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Johnson Funeral Home. A 
celebration of life service will take place at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, 
April 5, 2023, at the Junction City Church of the Nazarene with Pastor 
Mark Hatcher officiating. Burial will follow at the Lower Humboldt 
Cemetery in rural eastern Geary County.

Gideon's International. Colin was born November 13, 1946, in Casper, Wyoming, the son of Colin A. and Mary Jean (Hathaway) Kennedy, Sr. Colin

Kansas; one step-daughter, Jennifer Terry and her husband Anthony of 
Morrow, Ohio; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his

Armand was a lifetime area farmer and rancher in the Cloud County area.

Abbott Kole Mumaw

Jerry Batchelder, devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, 
great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at home surrounded
 by family on Thursday, March 30, 2023. He was born in Abilene, Kansas, 
on January 5, 1937, the oldest child of Dr. G. L. and Ethyle (Epley) 
Batchelder. He graduated from Abilene High School in 1955, attended 
Washburn University on a football scholarship, and fell into an Air 
Force ROTC opportunity there. 
He started courting Marla Jo Carlile in Abilene when she was only 14 and
 finally convinced her to marry him (it didn’t take much). They were 
united forever on June 28, 1959. 
Jerry and Marla Jo’s married life started in the Air Force. During this 
time, they were blessed with two children, Jerry earned his Wings, 
became a B-52 pilot, and they were stationed at Wurtsmith AFB in Oscoda,
 Michigan. Jerry was on Alert during the Cuban Missile Crisis and was 
one of the first crews launched in preparation for strikes on Russia. 
Jerry separated from the Air Force in 1966, was hired by Continental 
Airlines, and moved the family to Colorado, where they stayed until 
1982. After the kids were grown and gone, he and Marla Jo moved to Guam.
 He flew there for a of couple years, but decided to leave Continental 
after 18 great years. 
Jerry and Marla Jo moved back to Abilene “for a few years” in 1985 to 
care for MJ’s aging parents. However, they realized no home could 
provide the comfort, joy, and pride they found in Abilene, so excluding a
 few summers in the Rocky Mountains and trips to visit family and 
friends, they remained in Dickinson County, Kansas. 
Life was a glorious journey for Jerry, and he was so fortunate to have 
made extraordinary friends throughout it. He adored them all and treated
 them like family. He was a “giver” – kind, considerate, and humble - 
and always prioritized others' needs ahead of his desires. He had a 
great sense of humor, would offer a beer to anyone who would drink one 
with him, and found no greater joy than when he was helping others. He 
was also tough as nails and could not tolerate rude or inconsiderate 
behavior. He was an incredible role model for all and was enthralled 
with his grandsons and great-grandchildren. 
He loved all types of competition and spent countless hours watching 
sporting events, cheering for his Jayhawks and Broncos, and enjoyed car 
racing, especially NASCAR. He could get a car cleaner than anybody in 
town, enjoyed putting a glossy shine on shoes that never seemed to fade,
 and loved his many K-9 companions. 
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Marlo Jo’s parents Hilda and
 Eugene Carlile, and his brother John. He is survived by his loving wife
 of 63 years, Marla Jo. Two children, son Bret and his wife Connie, and 
daughter Leslie Jo. Two grandsons and their families, including his 
wonderful great-grandchildren – Jerry, Katie, and Olivia of San Diego, 
California, and Thomas, Leigh Anne, and Rowan of Norfolk, Virginia. 
Jerry’s funeral service will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at
 St John’s Episcopal Church in Abilene. His ashes will be interred in 
the St John’s Columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests 
memorials be made to Abilene Hospice, Public Library, or Meals on Wheels
 in memory of Jerry Batchelder. Memorials may be dropped off at the

K. Bradley Killen, 82, of Manhattan, KS, passed away on March 30th at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan.

Bradley
 was born in Concordia, KS to Kenneth and Clara Killen (Bechtold) and 
raised on the family farm in Courtland, KS.  He married Deanna Douglas, 
also of Courtland, on June 24, 1962.  They celebrated their 60th wedding
 anniversary with friends and family last summer In Manhattan.

Bradley
 graduated from Courtland High School and received his bachelor’s and 
master’s degrees from Fort Hays State University.   He spent his career 
in education as a teacher, principal, and school superintendent.  He was
 a high school business teacher at Sabetha, Hoxie and Concordia, and 
served as the high school principal at North Central (Morrowville), 
Southeast of Saline (Gypsum), Sacred Heart (Salina) and Lincoln school 
districts.  He also served as the superintendent of Kensington and 
Lincoln school districts before retiring in 2000.

A 
respected school administrator, Bradley served a term on the Kansas 
State Board of Education.  He passed two bonds to build new schools for 
both Southeast of Saline and Lincoln school districts.  Always an 
advocate for his teachers and students, he remained in contact with many
 of them throughout the years and cherished the memories from his career
 in education.

Bradley spent many summers working on 
the family farm.  He was a terrific fisherman, a coin collector and an 
avid sports fan.  He enjoyed following Kansas high school sports and 
loved following the K-State Wildcats.  Above all, he was a terrific 
husband, father, and friend to all who knew him.  He was a member of the
 College Avenue United Methodist Church in Manhattan.

 is survived by his wife of 60 years, Deanna, and four children:  Brian 
Killen (Lori) of Lawrence, Darren Killen (Dustin) of Kansas City, Jill 
Shields (Mark) of Manhattan, and Jon Killen (Christine) of Atlanta, GA. 
 Also surviving are grandchildren Andrew (Rebecca) and Eric Killen, Cole
 Killen and Sydney and Sam Shields, along with two great-grandchildren, 
Teddy and Etta, and his sisters Shirley Killen (Salina, KS) and Donna 
Lancaster (Olathe, KS), as well as beloved nieces and nephews.

He
 was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Clara, sisters Audrey
 Lee Killen and Doris Jensen, and brother Jerry Killen.

A
 memorial service will be held at the College Avenue United Methodist 
Church in Manhattan on Saturday, April 15th, at 10:30am.  A private 
inurnment will be held for the family at the Courtland Cemetery.

Linda Charlene Hand (Cleaver) passed away suddenly on March 29, 2023, in 
Corpus Christi, Texas, and went to be with her Lord at 81 years of age. She was 
born on July 24, 1941, in Missouri Valley, IA. She was raised by her 
parents Clara and Dell "Jack" Cleaver of California Junction, IA. She 
had a large family growing up with seven brothers and seven sisters. She

Hand II, Salina, Ks; John Franklin Hand II, Council Bluffs, IA; and

will be missed by her 19 grandchildren through her children's marriages;

Asher. Background: She attended elementary school in California 
Junction until 8th grade and then attended high school in Missouri 
Valley, IA. She met her future husband in the Spring of 1958 while she 
was sitting at a bus stop on 6th Street in Missouri Valley with two of 
her friends. He pulled up in his car and asked the girls if they wanted a
 ride home and they all jumped in the car. He made sure that she was in 
the front seat with him, and the other girls were in the back seat. He 
strategically dropped the other girls off and then drove her home. They
 started dating right away and three months later he proposed to her, 
and she accepted. They were married in Missouri Valley on November 8, 
1958. She was a homemaker, and her husband was in the Air Force Reserves
 until their first child Francis Lee Hand Jr. was born in 1961. Shortly 
after that her husband enlisted in the Army and she gladly stayed home 
to take care of the child. In 1962 they moved to the next duty station 
in Fulda, Germany, where their second child William Paul Hand II was born
 in 1963. In 1965, they moved back to the United States and her 
husband was sent to complete tours of duty in both Viet Nam and Korea. 
During that time, she and the children lived in Missouri Valley to be 
close to family. Linda worked various jobs and took care of the 
children, while her husband was assigned overseas. Upon her husband's
 return, they moved to Council Bluffs, IA and their third child John 
Franklin Hand II was born in 1968. She worked at Campbell's soup factory
 during this time. She finally got her wish for a daughter with the 
birth of Julie Lynn Hand in 1970. They moved to Frankfurt, Germany in
 1970 for her husband's final overseas assignment. In 1973 they moved to
 Ft. Riley, Ks and lived off base in Junction City until his retirement 
from the Army in 1977. She worked as a Nurse's Aide at a local nursing 
home, and she enjoyed visiting with the residents and would often pick 
fresh strawberries from her home garden to share with them. In 1979,&nbsp; they moved to Abilene, KS and she continued working as a Nurse's Aide at
 a local nursing home, until they moved back to Iowa to be close to 
family in 1982. She retired and they eventually moved to 
Rockport/Fulton, TX in 1995. She was always excited when family visited 
and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren playing card
 games with them. She really enjoyed traveling and taking cruises to 
Alaska, Cancun, Hawaii, Mediterranean Sea and the Panama Canal with 
their best friends, Gary and Linda Wrestler. The highlight of her day 
was spending time with her dachshunds, pushing them around the yard in a
 stroller and spoiling them. She dreamed of winning the "lottery" and
 loved getting scratch-off tickets to play. She once won $1000 from a 
Lucky Slots ticket, and she shared her winnings with her children. When 
the local VFW in Rockport had Bingo night, she enjoyed taking her 
children and grandchildren to play along while they were visiting. When 
she visited family out of state, she enjoyed going to the local casinos 
and playing the penny slot machines. She believed in the saying "you 
can't win if you don't play." A Service of Remembrance will be held 
at Charlie Marshall Chapel at 814 East Main Street, Rockport, TX 78382 
on April 4, 2023, at 11:30 am. Family visitation will be at 10 am with 
the public welcome at 11 am. Interment to follow at Aransas Memorial

Linda Charlene Hand

Glenn Russell Lang passed away on March 30, 2023.&nbsp;

Russ was born in Junction City, KS on December 19, 1949, and 
graduated from Lawrence High School in 1967.&nbsp; He married his high school
 sweetheart, Kay, in 1968.

He was a member of IBEW for 20 years before becoming a REALTOR with 
the Gill Agency, McGrew Real Estate, RE/MAX, and then retired at 
Lawrence Real Estate Connections in 2016.

Russ was a member of the Lawrence Board of Realtors (LBOR) for 35 
years from 1981 to 2016. Russ served as the LBOR President in 1994 and 
had the distinct honor of receiving all 3 major LBOR Awards. Russ was 
REALTOR of the Year in 1994, Salesperson of the Year in 2002, and was 
the recipient of The Distinguished Service Award in 2012.

Additionally, Russ served on the Board of Directors as Secretary in 
1992, President-Elect in 1993, and Past President in 1995. Russ returned
 to the Board of Directors as a Director in 2009 &amp; 2010. &nbsp;&nbsp;

Russ was preceded in death by his father, James Russell Lang, his 
mother, Mabel Laurine Praytor, and his sister, Cheryl (Lang) Favreau.

Russ is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kay Lang and their son Kent
 Lang, brother, Chris Lang, sisters Colleen Lang Butell and Debbie 
Nitsch.

An open viewing will be held at Warren McElwain on Tuesday, April 4, from noon – 6pm.

A private service and burial will be held by the family.&nbsp; Donations 
can be made in his memory to The Lawrence Humane Society or VNA Hospice 
sent in care of the mortuary.

Earl Dean Diepenbrock, 94, formerly of Alma, KS, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2023, at Jane Phillips Hospital in Bartlesville, OK surrounded by his family.

Earl was born on June 29, 1928, in Alma, Ks to Gus and Lydia (Mehl) 
Diepenbrock.&nbsp; He was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church in Alma where 
he remained an active member, serving as an elder.

He attended St. John Lutheran School and graduated from Alma High School in 1946.&nbsp; He attended Kansas State University.

On October 23, 1949, he married Naomi Irene Zeckser at St. John Lutheran Church.&nbsp;

Earl was a successful farmer and rancher at their farm southwest of 
Alma.&nbsp; He worked at the Alma Co-Op, installing appliances and as a 
mechanic in the garage.&nbsp; He drove a school bus for USD-329 and the 
senior citizen’s bus.&nbsp; Earl and Naomi retired to Topeka in 2004.&nbsp; Naomi 
passed away in 2008.

Earl moved to Owasso, OK in 2016 to be nearer his children Jerry and Diane.

Survivors include a son Jerald L. “Jerry” Diepenbrock, Owasso, OK, 
daughter Diane J. (John) Rinkenbaugh, Collinsville, OK, Grandchildren J.
 Ryan (Dani) Diepenbrock, Austin, TX, David L. (Kristen) Diepenbrock, 
Chicago, IL, Joshua A. Rinkenbaugh, Fayetteville, AR, Anna M. (Fred) 
Ramirez, Eudora, KS, Michael J. (Elizabeth) Rinkenbaugh, Wichita, KS, 
Matthew D. (Michelle) Rinkenbaugh, Goshen, IN, and Sarah E. (Zack) 
Scott, Coffeyville, KS, and 10 great-grandchildren, his sister Nyla 
Gehrt, Wamego, KS, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Carolyn J. Hertel, 86, died Thursday, March 30, 2023, at The Ranch House
 in Garden City, Kansas. She was born August 30, 1936, in Larned, 
Kansas, the daughter of Dee &amp; Isabel (Shasteen) Klein. 
 Carolyn grew up with her family on a farm East of Hanston, Kansas. 
 She attended schools in Burdett and Hanston and graduated from Hanston 
High School in 1954. She then attended nurses training in Great Bend, 
Kansas. Carolyn worked for a short time at a nurse’s aide and 
receptionist at St. Joseph Hospital in Larned. On May 11, 1956, she 
married Harold J. Hertel in Hanston, Kansas. They have lived in Garden 
City since. Carolyn worked for 35 years at Fidelity State Bank as a 
teller and assistant cashier before retiring as a Vice President in the 
mid 1990’s. 
 Carolyn was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City and
 was a past President of the Kansas Women’s Banking Association. She 
enjoyed spending her time traveling with her husband Harold, reading, 
gardening, and canning. 
 Survivors include her husband Harold J. Hertel of the home; two 
children Melissa (David) Horning of Garden City, KS and Michael (Brenda)
 Hertel of Cave Creek, Arizona; four brothers Robert Klein of Hanston, 
KS, Eldon Klein of Dodge City, KS, Jody Klein of Wright, KS, &amp; Steve
 Klein of Enid, OK; three sisters Kay Woods of Manhattan, KS, Donna

Charles "Chuck" Donald Rapp, 76, of Salina, passed away Friday, March 31st, 2023. Charles was born in Wichita, Kansas on September 5, 1946, a son of Betty (Hill) and Ralph Rapp and was a lifelong resident of Kansas. He married Catherine I. Moore on March 16, 1971 in Garfield, Kansas and had 2 children, Troy and Trinnette. Survivors include his wife, Catherine; daughter, Trinnette Devere (Jerry Tillett), of Salina; sister, Connie Gabbert, of Cape Fair, Missouri; 9 grandchildren, Jessica, Carlie, Jordan, Chey, Hayven, Hunter, Jack, Alex, Kamryn; 10 great grandchildren; nieces, great nieces, and great nephew. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Troy Rapp; brother, R.D. Rapp; and his dog, Boomer. Chuck attended Northwestern School of Taxidermy in Omaha, Nebraska during the summer of 1963 and graduated from Larned Senior High School in May 1964. He joined the United States Navy and served from August 1964 to August 1967. He served one year of duty in Vietnam and received a Purple Heart after being wounded in Vietnam in 1965. He attended college at Wichita State University and earned an Associates Degree in Business Administration, worked for 32 years with Kansas Gas Service and retired in September 2003 at the age of 56. Chuck was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Volunteer Connections, Geocache Club, Salina Hiking Club, Rendezvous Hiking Club, Kansas Historical Geeks, Abandon Kansas Club, Kansas Morel Club, and the Veterans of Foreign War. He was a person who loved his family deeply. He lived a good and honorable life, believed everyone dies, but not everyone lives. And he lived a fun and successful life most of his life. Cremation was chosen. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, April 6th at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home and Crematory.  Lee Bruner Sr., 60, of McPherson, KS, passed away on Thursday, March 
30, 2023, at his home in McPherson. &nbsp;Kevin was a warehouse material 
handler for Pfizer in McPherson.

Kevin
 was born on December 13, 1962, in Columbia, MO, the son of Ralph Eugene
 and Donna Sue (Byrd) Bruner.&nbsp; He graduated from McPherson High School 
in 1981.&nbsp; Kevin was united in marriage to Patricia Jean Wright on March 
31, 2002.&nbsp; This union was blessed with two sons, Aubrey and Kevin Jr. 

Survivors
 include: his loving wife, Patricia “Trish” of the home; two sons, 
Aubrey Bruner of Atlanta, GA and Kevin Bruner Jr. (Sally Tran) of 
Manhattan, KS; a brother, Clinton Bruner (Dara) of Wichita, KS; 
sister-in-law, Kimberly Bruner of McPherson, KS; aunt, Mae Bruner of 
Fulton, MO; uncle, James “Peanut” Byrd of McPherson, KS; and many 
nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph &amp; Donna Bruner, and two brothers, Calvin Bruner and Donald Bruner.

The
 family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM, Friday, April

Kevin Lee Bruner Sr.

Kristina Ranae Hudson, 46, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away March 27, 2023, at the Wyoming Medical Center, Casper. She was born February 11, 1977, at the USAF Hospital Dyess Air Force Base, Abilene, Texas, the daughter of Allen D. Hudson and Roberta L. “Bobbi” Kruse. 

Kristina has resided in Casper for the past 15 years, formerly of Billings, Montana. She graduated from Dodge City High School, Dodge City, Kansas, with the class of 1995. 

Kristina held various jobs during her life. She enjoyed the outdoors, watching movies, spending time with friends, and most of all spending time with her children. 

Kristina is survived by her father, Allen Hudson and wife Teresa of Abilene, KS; mother, Bobbi Jensen of Drumright, OK; two children, Elizabeth Rose of Billings, MT and Allen Keno of Casper, WY; brother, Brian K. Hudson and wife Kimberly of Dodge City, KS; and two sisters, Ellen D. Cales and husband Bret of Arkansas City, KS, and Cassandra M. Klingenberg and husband Jon of Manhattan, KS; and many extended family and friends. 

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Donna Mae Davis; maternal grandparents, Carl and Joyce Westvang and Jess and Magdalena Kruse; brother, Jess Michael Monroe; and aunt, Cheri Westvang. 

Funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with Pastor Joel Grizzle officiating. Burial will follow at the Geneseo Cemetery, Geneseo. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with family present.

Stephen D. Templeton, 68, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away 
peacefully on Sunday, March 26, 2023. Cremation will take place. He
 was born on June 22, 1954, in Modesto, California to Howard J. and 
Wynema F. Templeton. Stephen had many interests and hobbies including 
fishing, camping, watching NASCAR, and going to watch the races or air 
shows. Stephen married Peggy Firestone on June 7, 1980. Family 
was very important to Stephen; his grandchildren were his life. Stephen 
had a unique bond with his grandchildren and always there to support 
them. Stephen is survived by his daughter, Kelley L. 
(Christopher) George of Junction City, Kansas; one son, Stephen (Merna) 
Templeton Jr.; three grandchildren, Adam Pereira, Owen Pereira, and 
Addison George; six siblings, Diana Ratti, David Templeton, Paul 
Templeton, Paula Kent, Shirley Gray, and Linda Chrisco; and fifteen 
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Peggy; parents; and daughter, Jennifer.

 7:00 p.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Interment will take place at a 
later date in Delray Beach, Florida. She was born on March 1, 1934, in Marion City, Florida to John and Jane (McEvoy) Adams. Ruth
 loved to dance and had an eye for fashion. As a devote Presbyterian, 
she shared her love and faith with her family. No matter where she was, 
she always had her love for the beach. On May 25, 1958, she married Norman Johnson. They were married almost 60 years until his passing in 2016. Ruth
 is survived by her daughters, Kim (Garon) Isaac of Fairfax, Virginia, 
Cindy (Tim) Cuddy of Junction City, Kansas; five grandchildren, Chris, 
Steven, Terry, Kevin, Laura; and four great grandchildren, Chloe, 
Hailey, John, Adam. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman; and her sister, Sallie. In
