Beginning Monday, June 8, the Kansas Department of Transportation plans to begin a resurfacing project on K-18 in Dickinson County.
The project involves a chip seal on K-18 from the east K-15/K-18 junction, continuing east about 13.3 miles to the Dickinson/Geary county line.
Work will occur during daylight hours. Flaggers and a pilot car will guide one lane of traffic through construction at a reduced speed. Drivers should be prepared for a delay of up to 15 minutes and plan extra time in their travel schedules.
Heft and Sons, LLC, of Greensburg, is the prime contractor for the $526,870 project, which is scheduled to be completed by July, weather permitting.
KDOT urges motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones. For current road conditions, visit kandrive.gov or call 5-1-1.
