After weeks of operating from the conference room at the Geary County Office Building the Convention & Visitor's Bureau operations will return to the Montgomery Building at 222 West 6th Street.
Trish Giordano, County Commission Chair, said after extensive testing of the air quality nothing of any significance was found at the West 6th Street location. "So we are going to have the CVB move back to the Montgomery Building. "
There is one employee at the present time and a search is under way for a new CVB director. The staff had moved out temporarily after complaining of nose, throat and mouth irritation. Testing was done for mold, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide plus potential chemicals from carpet stored in the building but no problems were found.
The CVB move back to the Montgomery Building could occur late this week.
