Suspect arrested from August 2022 incident in Aggieville

The Riley County Police say they have arrested a suspect on a requested charge of aggravated battery. The arrest stems from an August 28, 2022 incident in Aggieville. 

25-year-old Jordan Owens, of Fort Riley, was arrested for aggravated battery after reportedly punching a 23-year old man causing severe head injuries. 

The victim was found in the alley behind Tate's bar in the 1100 block of Moro Street. He was taken to Via Christi hospital before being transported to KU Medical Center in Kansas City. No current medical status is available. 

Owens remains in the Riley County Jail on a bond of $50,000. 

This investigation was in assistance with Fort Riley's Criminal Investigation Division.
