Outgoing Sheriff is honored during his retirement reception

Geary County Sheriff Daniel Jackson Jr. retired on Friday.

A reception was held in his honor as he brought an end to his stint as sheriff which began in to 2019.

Jackson will be succeeded in the sheriff's post by Eric Coffman.

David Gilbert will serve as undersheriff.
