Geary County Emergency Management announced that progress is being made on the addition to Station 4 (Barr Road near Exit 303 ). Once completed the two trucks that are sharing space in the old part will each have their own area and door to respond out of.
There are also plans are to place a 2,000 gallon tanker in the third bay. The tanker would respond on all calls and provide extra water since there are no hydrants in that part of Geary County.
