Geary County Convention & Visitor's Bureau is nearing the end of the year under budget for the year. That was one of the topics for CVB Director Donna Price during a report to the Geary County Commission. "Makes me feel like we're setting ourselves up really well for next year."
Price said that the CVB will also combine the community support grants and marketing grants into one fund. That information should be available online in the near future.
Paperwork must be completed for State Travel and Tourism Office for a scenic byway project effort that will begin. The byway would run from Geary County into Clay County and then west to Waconda Lake in Mitchell County.
