For nearly six months there has not been a Wendy's Restaurant in Junction City because a new outlet was under construction at 440 West 6th Street. That project is complete and Wednesday was opening day.

Ashley Bryant with the new establishment, said cars were wrapped down 6th Street and around 7th Street with people wanting to visit the new restaurant.

"Staff has been really excited for the new building. The building is beautiful so we're happy and excited to be back in it."

Wendy's will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 12 a.m.
