The Junction City Rotary Club and the Junction City Fraternal Order of the Eagles have combined to make a donation of $1,000 towards the Junction City Police Department's goal of implementing a co-responder program.
Police said for those unfamiliar, a co-responder program pairs police officers with mental health professionals. This collaborative approach ensures that individuals experiencing mental health crises receive immediate, appropriate care and support, while also addressing safety concerns.
Police thanked both the Rotary club and the Eagles for their donation.
