Junction City turned in a strong defensive effort in Saturday's public Blue White football scrimmage at JCHS. Coach Randall Zimmerman observed that the defense is way ahead. He said the defense was flying around, "really getting it done."

Zimmerman explained, "The biggest concern from today's scrimmage is that we got so tired.  When you get physically tired, mentally you stop thinking."  The coach added that the Blue Jays will be fine and will bounce back. "We don't really just stop and condition, we'll make sure our practices, we're repping it fast and those kind of things. That's how we're going to get in condition."

Junction City will have their Blue White scrimmage next Friday night at Blue Jay Stadium. The first varsity game is at Hays on Sept. 2.
