Junction City Commissioners dealt with multiple items in their meeting this week,
--The governing body approved installation of a marble plaque by the JC Eagles 830 in Heritage Park. It will be a 48 by 16 plaque.
--They tabled until their next meeting consideration of a proposal to transfer ownership of C.L. Hoover Opera House property at 131 West 7th from Junction City Opera House Inc. to the City of Junction City.
--Received input on lack of ordinance enforcement on snow and ice removal from sidewalks. Officials will visit with the city attorney and police chief on the matter.
--Commissioners were asked what it would take for them to be comfortable with approving chickens in Junction City. More information will be needed but it was noted that it could put an additional burden on city staff.
