Geary County Sheriff's Deputies responded Monday afternoon to U.S. 77 Highway, mile marker 157, for a two-vehicle injury accident. Betty Madrigal, Junction City, was northbound in a Ford Focus when she failed to observe a GMC Yukon driven by Nancy Sasser, Junction City that was stopped in the northbound turn lane, and ran into the rear of Sasser's vehicle.
Minor injuries were reported and treated on scene.
Madrigal's vehicle was removed by a wrecker service and Sasser's vehicle was released to the owner.
