The City of Junction City is working toward safer, more accessible sidewalks along Washington Street, and they want you to be part of the conversation!A public hearing will be held to discuss the City’s application for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for the proposed Washington Street Sidewalk Replacement Project, which would include the removal and replacement of sidewalk facilities along North Washington Street from 10th Street to Home Street.
Proposed improvements aim to address deteriorating sidewalks, accessibility concerns, crosswalks, drainage issues and pedestrian safety.
There will be a public hearing on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at 7 p.m.at the Municipal Court, 701 N. Jefferson St.
