Flint Hills Discovery Center release
Families are invited to step into a world where fun meets fossils during Dino Day at the Flint Hills Discovery Center (FHDC). From crafting dinos, to digging up ancient "bones" in the fossil pit, solving Jurassic-size puzzles, and stomping into dino games, kids become real-life explorers in a prehistoric playground of imagination and discovery in conjunction with the current temporary exhibit at the FHDC, Tiny Titans: Dinosaur Eggs and Babies.
"Dino Day isn’t just a prehistoric party – it’s a way to spark kids’ curiosity and creativity through STEAM learning" says Sally Dreher, Curator of Education. "From hands-on fossil exploration to building your own dino creation, every activity is designed to ignite their love of learning. It’s the perfect mix of fun and education that inspires young minds to dig deep!"
Children will engage in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) learning with these activities: Craft a Dino, T-Rex Puzzle Challenge, Rex Puzzle Challenge, Pterodactyl Puzzle, and Become a Paleontologist.
This event is scheduled Saturday, August 9 from 10 am to 3 pm at the Flint Hills Discovery Center.
